Coach John Delia

Varsity Wide Receivers, and Kickers

Coach John Delia graduated from the University of South Florida, Broward College, and St. Petersburg College where he earned degrees in Speech Communications, and Computer Programming. He played and lettered in Football and Wrestling at Nova High School in Davie, Florida, where he participated in both Varsity and JV football. During that time, he was able to experience and learn many positions including Center, Running Back, Defensive Back, Linebacker, and Defensive End.


Coach Delia is entering his sixth season coaching high school football. He also coached nine years with the Countryside Junior Cougars where he was able to learn every position on both sides of the ball. John was a former Assistant Football Coach at Palm Harbor University High School, where he was Assistant Varsity Special Teams Coordinator, Varsity and JV Kicking Coach, Assistant Wide Receivers Coach, and JV Linebacker Coach. Coach Delia was a former Assistant Football Coach at Sickles High School, where he was the JV Head Coach, JV Offensive Coordinator, Assistant Varsity Special Teams Coordinator, Varsity and JV Kicking Coach, Assistant Varsity and JV Wide Receiver Coach, and JV Defensive Backs Coach. While at the Countryside Junior Cougars, he was a Head Coach, Offensive Line Coach, Defensive Line Coach, Special Team Coordinator and Kicking Coach, Wide Receiver Coach, Linebacker’s Coach, and Defensive Back’s Coach.


This year Coach Delia's duties will include coaching JV Linebackers and JV Kickers and Punters in addition to being Head JV Football Coach.
